Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the SmartCaps iOS app. By installing or using SmartCaps, you accept them.
Who runs SmartCaps
SmartCaps is owned and operated by DS Maker LTD, a company registered in the Republic of Cyprus. Contact: [email protected].
What SmartCaps does
SmartCaps lets you import a vertical video, automatically transcribe its audio, and burn animated captions into a new copy of the clip. The output is yours: keep it, edit it, post it.
Free trial
Your first caption render is free. After that, you need a SmartCaps Pro subscription to render more.
SmartCaps Pro subscription
- Plans: monthly (€14.99) or annual (€59.99). Prices can vary by region and are shown in the App Store at purchase time.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel in Settings → Account → Manage subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged.
- Refunds: handled by Apple under standard App Store policies. DS Maker LTD does not issue refunds directly.
- Restore: if you reinstall the app or switch device, tap "Restore purchases" in Settings.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer the app or our servers;
- use SmartCaps to caption content you don't have the rights to;
- abuse our transcription servers (we may rate-limit or block clearly abusive behaviour);
- upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
Your content
You retain all rights to the videos you import and the captioned videos you export. We claim no rights over your content and we do not store your videos or audio. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Service availability
SmartCaps relies on third-party services (Apple's App Store, our transcription provider). We work hard to keep things running, but we cannot guarantee uptime or that every clip is transcribed perfectly.
Disclaimer
SmartCaps is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, DS Maker LTD is not liable for damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes
We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, where DS Maker LTD is registered.
